This private four bedroom home was built in Rushden’s conservation area, achieving the balance of elivering a modern design, while being respectful of its setting.
We used timber cladding and tiled the roof to ensure that the property was sympathetic to the local agricultural and domestic heritage. Its dormer windows, bay windows and chimney repeat these local features, while white render and asymmetrical windows added a more modern touch.
Our work was featured on the front page of the Sunday Times’ Homes section and in Grand Designs magazine. This property also won the Large House of the Year category at the British Homes Awards and was commended in the One-Off House of the Year category.
