Health & Safety Policy

We strongly believe that health and safety is about much more than paperwork and complying with legislation. Common sense, ownership, responsibility and communication are all fundamental to a safe working environment.

We have found that by embedding health and safety into our daily operations, our employees are more committed and fulfilled in their work and enjoy better personal health and wellbeing.

Environmental Policy

Construction work can have a significant impact on the environment. But with the right attitude, we can change that. We believe that environmental awareness should be an integral and integrated part of our business, and we are proud of our ISO:14001 accreditation.

Our policy sets clear targets, encouraging us to continually improve our environmental performance and management. We comply with all relevant legislation, implement strict controls, and carry out training and risk assessments to minimise our environmental impact.

As part of our sustainability efforts we promote the use of recycled materials, reuse materials and reduce landfill wastage. We are mindful of energy consumption and reduce emissions from our activities wherever possible.

Equal Opportunity

Conamar’s equal opportunities policy guarantees that no harassment or discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, disability or age will be tolerated.

Our workforce is bound and committed to this agenda, and our recruitment and selection procedures follow strict guidelines to ensure fairness and equality for all applicants. So that our policy operates effectively, and for no other purpose, we maintain records of employees’ and applicants’ ethnicity, gender, age and disabilities. Regular monitoring and analysis ensures that no unlawful or unethical discrimination occurs.

We are determined that nobody should be put at any disadvantage by requirements that cannot be shown to be genuinely necessary for business reasons, and we invest in training to ensure our people enjoy good opportunities for personal and professional development.
