Con Dower
Chairman
Con Dower is Conamar’s founder and chairman. It’s his entrepreneurial vision and emphasis on delivering quality for clients every time that has made us so successful for more than 40 years.
Con plays a largely strategic role in our company’s operations, but conducts regular meetings and project reviews with all members of the management team to ensure that the company continues to deliver on its promises. His overriding philosophy is to create an ethos of mutual trust and partnership.
Neil Dower
Managing Director
As Managing Director, Neil is responsible for business planning and strategy implementation. He’s also responsible for winning new work, maintaining client relationships and leading the business and its staff.
His blend of construction expertise, hands-on management and open and approachable manner has helped the business grow in a controlled and sustainable way. He has a strong leadership style, a strategic outlook, and the proven ability to deliver multimillion pound contracts within tight deadlines and budgets.
Paul Dower
Financial Director
As Finance Director, Paul is in charge of all the business’s finance and accounts, including ensuring that financial strategies support the broader corporate aims of the business, managing the company’s accounting function, and implementing processes, controls, procedures and systems.
Tom Wonnacott
Contracts Director
With over 20 years’ experience, Tom leads our projects and clients through a ‘hands on’ delivery approach. Tom monitors resources across all projects, and ensures a quality delivery is achieved within the agreed programme, maintaining positive relationships with project stakeholders.
A surveyor by trade, Tom is an astute manager. He has experience in almost all sectors, including in highly sensitive environments. Having led our frameworks delivery teams for the past 5 years, he is also well adept at managing multiple concurrent schemes to success.
Nathanial Crichton
Pre-construction Director
Nat brings over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, originally training as a Design Manager before moving into senior pre-construction roles. He leads all pre-construction activity, from initial enquiry through tendering, design development, and technical resolution.
His role covers design team selection, early supply chain engagement, and producing well-structured, competitively priced bids that are risk-assessed and fully compliant with legislation and client requirements.
With extensive Tier 1 and Tier 2 experience, Nat has delivered complex cut-and-carve and decarbonisation projects across central London. Post-tender, he manages technical negotiations and works closely with Contracts Directors to ensure a seamless transition into delivery.
Holding an MBA, Nat brings a broader understanding of client businesses and strategic goals. He combines commercial focus with a collaborative, outcome-driven approach and plays a key role in steering the company’s workload within the sectors and strategy agreed by the board.
Andrew Rushmere
Commercial Manager
Andrew is a conscientious Quantity Surveyor with over 30 years’ experience. A Chartered Builder with a wide knowledge and proven track record in his profession, Andrew oversees the commercial and risk management for the business with his team of surveyors.
He ensures we work with our client teams in a collaborative manner to monitor out-turn costs and provide best value, overseeing best practice performance in our surveying and commercial activities.
Paul Nathan
Business Development Manager
With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Paul brings a deep understanding of both Tier 1 and Tier 2 contracting environments. His role is centred around listening to clients, understanding their needs, ambitions, and challenges, and aligning their projects with Conamar’s delivery capability and strategic focus across sector, value and risk profile. With experience across both major and mid-tier contractors, Paul understands how to tailor these approaches to suit the work we undertake across local authority, blue-chip, and private development markets.
Paul plays a key role in building long-term relationships, meeting with clients at a strategic level to ensure alignment in both pre-construction and delivery expectations. He provides valuable feedback to both the Conamar board and clients, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring we continuously evolve to meet industry needs.
Actively engaged across the sectors we work in, Paul regularly represents Conamar at industry events and networking forums. Approachable and down-to-earth, he’s always available for a coffee (or a Guinness) and a straight-talking conversation
