The works comprise the stripping out and full refurbishment of Milleret house, including adjustments to Cloisters and adjacent 20 Kensington Square building, in Central London.
The site is a religious retreat, which also contains peaceful and private gardens. Our works have been planned to mitigate disruption to the building users, using modern methods of construction, non percussive tooling and a 2hour on, 2 hour off noise system where noisy works were planned.
The works have comprised strip out of existing, reconfiguration of internal walls, full refurbishment and the installation of an additional lift.
In addition, we upgraded the external walls using an insulated plasterboard to improve building fabric performance, and upgraded the M&E systems to remove legacy plant and improve sustainability performance – the building now uses natural ventilation for fresh air rather than mechanical systems.
