Conamar’s central VALUE policy conforms to the Social Value Act and promotes our company’s sustainable development objectives by embedding Social Value in our business decisions.

This includes the way we employ staff, engage with communities, and buy products and services. We cultivate a sustainable and inclusive society, which demonstrates that business done well can be a force for good.

Social Value is built into everything we do, and is expertly managed and rooted within our process cycle passing down through our staff and supply chain.

We engage with our local community including educational providers, local authorities, SMEs and key stakeholders to promote job opportunities and career options where applicable.

Conamar are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, and working with our clients to achieve net zero carbon in their building works. Our management systems are accredited to ISO14001.

From sustainable design principles, maximising use of renewable technologies and looking at innovative solutions, through to our on site activities and supply chain management, sustainable practice is at the heart of our operations.

Sustainability Targets

  • Moving our operations towards 100% renewable energy including sites

Climate Change & Carbon Reduction

Conamar is fully committed to being an active contributor to addressing the global climate crisis, the company has implemented ‘Zero 45’, a groupwide Carbon Strategy, with the core objective of achieving Net Zero by 2045 and reducing emissions below 50% by 2030.

In continuing to target and drive extensive decarbonisation programmes across our estate, assets, and daily operations, the business has significantly reduced the levels of carbon emissions it produces year-on-year.

We project that our carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 118 tCO2e by 2027. This is a reduction of 10% sticking below target.
