This project is an excellent example of our ability to deliver an accelerated programme of works to meet a client’s requirements. Procured using a direct award approach for efficiency, through one of our OJEU compliant frameworks, Conamar have recently completed works at Darent Valley hospital undertaking a £1.8m project conversion of an existing fracture clinic into a new specialist paediatric ward.
Works include new Accessible WC & Baby Change, Resus Paediatric, Clean Utility, Dirty Utility, Resource Room, Assessments Room, CAMHS Assessment Room, Acute Assessment Bay, Triage room, Paediatric HDU
Room, Waiting Room, WC Ambulant, Disposal Hold and social care within Dartford Hospital.
The scheme included enabling works, Demolition, suspended ceiling installation, remove existing flooring, floor screed, installing sheet flooring, installing skirtings, installing privacy screen system, installing framed partitions, external & internal installing door sets & ironmongery, installing access hatch to M & E, install duct and wall panel lining, M&E, fixtures & fittings, etc
To meet the client’s funding conditions, we accelerated an 18 week programme to meet a 9 week period. We also accelerated the pre-construction period, undertaking design development, pricing and mobilisation in just 4 weeks.
We achieved this using a direct award procurement through one of our framework agreements, and working 24/7 on site. This was particularly logistically complex, as works were carried out around the live A&E department.
