Repton Gardens Surgery

This project is logistically complex, as we are fitting out a 1,200 sqm shell constructed by McLaren as part of a much larger development at Wembley. The final development will offer 396 build-to-rent homes, 1,000sqm of ground floor retail space and our GP surgery.

The GP Surgery will be run by the Wembley Park Practice, serving up to 25,000 patients,and comprising of 2 clinical suites including:

  • 14 consult exam rooms
  • 4 treatment rooms
  • E-consult Room
  • Double height reception & waiting areas
  • Conference & meeting rooms
  • Staff administration
  • Separate staff & patient facilities, including staff cycle parking

With a total Gross Internal Area (GIA) of approximately 1,280m2 of internal fit out works, all patient and staff accommodation is provided over a split ground floor level (accessed by steps and ramp).

A plant mezzanine level situated over the clinical rooms on the east side – which provides mechanical ventilation to all spaces. There is a single central patient entrance at the south western corner which arrives directly at reception adjacent the waiting areas. The clinical areas have the ability to be access controlled form the public zone if required; all staff areas are access controlled. The surgery is designed to current relevant healthcare HBNs and HTMs.

Conamar were recommended to the client due to our successful completion of other medical fit out works, which have met (or exceeded) the CQC guidelines and achieved formal sign off.

Our logistics were carefully planned to align with the wider site activities, including coordination with the developer’s logistics consultant. We had to agree traffic routes, access / egress, fire management strategies and communication plans.
