Conamar has completed work on a new retail unit for 99p Stores at St Peter’s Street in St Albans town centre.

Working for Elliott Project Management, the project included creating one 4,736 sq ft (440 sq m) retail unit from two adjoining stores with load bearing walls knocked down and replaced with steel frames, a new front and new stairs and a lift shaft.

Neil Dower, Managing Director of Conamar said: “These structural works allow the retailer to trade from a town centre unit in a format that better meets their requirements. The work was completed on time and on budget and the store is aiming to open in early March once the fit out is finished.”
